Hawaiian Malolo Bird Teasers are rigged on the best componentry the manufacturers can source but the ocean environment is a harsh one, that can degrade even the highest quality materials. Metal fatigue can be an issue under any application, so the team wanted to provide professional replacement rigging in case your bird teasers need a new set of rigging.

Simply cut the wire of the old rigging, pull the bird teaser off the wire and thread the end of the new rig through the bird from the tail first. Once the tail is resting on the rubber bead by the swivel, slide on the spare crimp, loop the wire over to go back through the other open barrel of the crimp. While you are closing up the loop, place the stainless thimble in the loop of wire and close the loop on the thimble channel. Leave a very short tag end outside the end of the crimp and secure the crimp with your crimpers. Easy as that!

You will now have some excellent quality components left over from your old rigging, thimbles, a rubber bead and super high quality 400 lb stainless tournament Centro trolling swivel that you can tie onto the end of your fishing line and use it to clip on your Hawaiian Malolo Bird Teaser.
